About the position

As a Plant Engineering Electrical-Mechanic at 3M, you will have the opportunity to engage in a dynamic and innovative environment where your skills will be put to the test. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues, which is essential for maintaining production efficiency. Your work will involve performing preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, including lubrication and routine inspections, to ensure that all equipment operates at optimal levels. In addition to hands-on maintenance, you will be tasked with establishing and maintaining comprehensive equipment documentation. This includes keeping track of spare parts and creating PM (Preventive Maintenance) Work Instructions. You will also participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities, which focus on minimizing downtime associated with changeovers, breakdowns, and other inefficiencies. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and solving mechanical equipment and process problems.
  • Performing preventative/predictive maintenance routes, including lubrication.
  • Establishing and maintaining equipment documentation, including spare parts and PM Work Instructions.
  • Participating in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities to minimize downtime associated with changeovers, PM's, breakdowns, and sub-optimal rates.
  • Complying with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards while performing assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a two (2) years technical degree program in a Maintenance related field (Auto Mechanics, Diesel Mechanics, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated history of good customer and peer relations.
  • Good documentation and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Personal computer skills for data entry, word processing, and spreadsheet data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
