About the position
The Plant Engineering Manager at DAP Global Inc. is responsible for leading and coordinating engineering activities at the production plant in Pacific, MO. This role focuses on achieving safety goals, overseeing engineering studies, managing projects, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant operations and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and maintain safety goals related to maintenance and engineering functions.
- Oversee safety devices and safe design of all equipment.
- Direct engineering studies, drawings, layout sketches, material lists, estimates, and preparation of requests for proposed capital expenditures.
- Supervise projects and personnel for the improvement and modernization of the plant.
- Ensure project completion within budget.
- Develop and maintain the annual capital budget and 5-year capital plan.
- Perform project descriptions, capital appropriation requests, and cost justification.
- Establish best practices to achieve goals on quality scorecard and equipment packing process.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance overall equipment effectiveness.
- Maintain cost-saving ideas and projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Project, and Contractor Management skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
