Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues as they arise.
  • Assist in planning and executing facility improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with other staff and contractors to ensure project completion.
  • Train and supervise less experienced staff or helpers in the trade.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED and/or completion of a vocational course.
  • Three years of experience as a helper in the appropriate trade preferred.
  • A valid CDL Virginia driver's license with air brake endorsement preferred.
  • A journeyman's license for trade designation from the Commonwealth of Virginia preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of standard practices and terminology within carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC trades.
  • Skill in the use of appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively.
