About the position

The Plant General Manager is responsible for overseeing all functions of the facility, ensuring that financial and product goals are met while fulfilling customer expectations regarding quality and food safety. This role involves transitioning the plant from a family-owned, minimally process-driven environment to a more professionalized, process and metric-driven operation. The GM will implement various operational improvements, including standard operating procedures and upgraded quality and safety programs, while managing an independent plant in a different state.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all functions of the facility including manufacturing, sanitation, maintenance, inventory planning, and fulfillment.
  • Ensure customer expectations on fulfillment, quality, and food safety are met.
  • Transition the plant to a professionalized, process and metric-driven environment.
  • Implement plant meeting cadences and plant-level metrics.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures.
  • Upgrade quality and safety programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading production operations in a food manufacturing plant.
  • Pasta or dough experience is ideal.
  • Proven ability to lead with a people-first leadership style.
  • History of achieving results with KPIs and being metric-driven.
  • Ability to develop people, processes, and systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Vietnamese or Cantonese is preferred but not required.
