Responsibilities

• Foster a positive and inclusive employee experience through proactive initiatives based on feedback.
• Conduct daily floor walks to build relationships with employees and ensure HR availability.
• Support the execution of Labor COE and HRBO designed products and services.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor key workforce metrics to identify potential risks and support recommendations for operating leaders.
• Resolve employee union issues, including conflicts, disputes, and disciplinary matters.
• Support investigations related to disciplinary issues, grievances, and arbitration matters.
• Work closely with safety and occupational health leads to address employee health and wellness concerns.
• Engage in community outreach and coordinate charitable activities.
• Manage payroll and attendance tracking processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant HR and labor work or internship experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of workers' compensation law and employee relations.
• Ability to leverage business acumen to develop rapport and relationships.

Nice-to-haves

• PHR or SHRM-CP certification
