About the position

Chemours is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our growing Titanium Technologies (TT) team at our New Johnsonville, TN location. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will possess vision, integrity, and commitment, with previous experience in HR within a manufacturing setting. The HR Manager will be responsible for employee relations at the Johnsonville site, executing HR practices and policies, and developing and leveraging best practices across other TT facilities. In this role, you will drive development programs to build capability and ensure organizational sustainability through employee engagement. You will provide strategic partnership with the organization to support overall operational discipline and business performance. Partnering with leadership, you will assess organizational capability and ensure development and succession plans are in place to support current and future business requirements. Attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse high-talent workforce will be key to supporting business growth. You will also provide coaching and support to leadership regarding workforce planning, culture development, organizational policies and procedures, and communication of key initiatives. Collaborating with line leadership, you will effectively implement people-related programs such as recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, performance management, and employee relations. Proactively seeking new ways of doing things to deliver improved business results and effectively leading organizational change will be essential. Additionally, you will serve in a responsive manner to employee relations issues, managing conflict in various situations, and working hand in hand with legal teams on employment litigation matters.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to assess organizational capability and ensure development and succession plans are in place.

  • Provide coaching and support to leadership regarding workforce planning, culture development, and organizational policies & procedures.
  • Collaborate with line leadership in the effective implementation of recruitment, onboarding, learning & development, performance management, and employee relations programs.
  • Proactively seek new ways of doing things to deliver improved business results and lead organizational change.
  • Respond to employee relations issues and manage conflict in various situations with empathy and courage.
  • Work with legal teams on employment litigation matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of work-related experience within HR, or 10+ years of proven work experience as a HR generalist/HR operations.
  • Broad experience in developing and implementing change management initiatives and creating organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to set priorities and provide direction through direct and influence management.
  • Strong interest and capability in talent development and talent management.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate broad HR function direction into leadership initiatives in collaboration with peers and line leaders.
  • Ability to work independently as a site HR Business Partner.
  • High level of personal integrity, ethics, initiative, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Industrial or manufacturing operations experience, including wage negotiations and other legal employment issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience serving employees in a multi-shift manufacturing or chemical refining environment.
