About the position

As a Plant Human Resources Specialist at Conagra Brands, you will play a crucial role in managing workforce operations at our Louisville plant. Reporting directly to the Manager of Plant Human Resources, your primary responsibilities will include providing comprehensive HR support to employees, former employees, managers, and HR partners. You will be tasked with processing HR transactions, ensuring the accuracy of payroll, and administering employee benefit plans. This position requires a hands-on approach to workforce management, where you will be expected to engage with various HR systems and policies to facilitate smooth operations within the plant. Your role will encompass managing payroll processes, including attendance tracking, to ensure that all payroll-related activities are executed accurately and efficiently. You will also conduct full lifecycle recruitment efforts, focusing on sourcing and pre-screening candidates for hourly positions. Providing support for HR, payroll, compensation, and benefits transactions will be a key part of your daily activities, as you assist both employees and managers in navigating these processes. In addition to these responsibilities, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of employee records and data within our HRIS (Workday). Collaboration will be essential in this role, as you will work closely with team members across all departments to share ideas and drive improvements in HR processes. Participation in training sessions will also be expected to enhance your knowledge of policies and procedures, ensuring that you remain a valuable resource for the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll and payroll processing to ensure accuracy, including attendance tracking
  • Conduct full lifecycle recruitment efforts including sourcing and pre-screening for hourly positions
  • Provide employees and managers support for HR, payroll, compensation, and benefit transactions
  • Process and enter accurate confidential employee information and changes in the HRIS (Workday)
  • Support the integrity of employee records and Workday data
  • Support team members from all departments
  • Work collaboratively within a team to share ideas, ownership, and driving improvements and consistency of execution for HR processes
  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training to improve policy and process knowledge

Requirements

  • High school diploma, plus 3 years+ experience in HR-related field
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field, preferred
  • Broad HR/Payroll/Benefits knowledge, as pertains to the company, providing customers with relevant information, policy explanation and navigation support
  • Experience with HRIS or ATS systems
  • Spanish speaking skills desired
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship either now or in the future
