About the position

As a Plant Human Resources Specialist at Conagra, you will play a crucial role in managing workforce operations at our Louisville plant. Reporting directly to the Manager of Plant Human Resources, your primary responsibilities will include providing comprehensive HR support to employees, former employees, managers, and HR partners. You will be responsible for processing HR transactions, administering employee benefit plans, and ensuring accurate payroll processing. Your role will require you to maintain the integrity of employee records and support various HR systems and policies, particularly focusing on the HRIS (Workday). In this position, you will engage in full lifecycle recruitment efforts, which include sourcing and pre-screening candidates for hourly positions. You will also provide essential support for HR, payroll, compensation, and benefits transactions, ensuring that employees and managers have the information they need to navigate these processes effectively. Your ability to manage payroll accurately, including attendance tracking, will be vital to the success of the HR operations at the plant. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with team members across all departments to share ideas and drive improvements in HR processes. You will also participate in training sessions to enhance your knowledge of policies and procedures, ensuring that you remain a valuable resource for your colleagues. This position is on-site at the Louisville plant, and you will be expected to work five days a week, contributing to a dynamic and inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll and payroll processing to ensure accuracy, including attendance tracking.
  • Conduct full lifecycle recruitment efforts including sourcing and pre-screening for hourly positions.
  • Provide employees and managers support for HR, payroll, compensation, and benefit transactions.
  • Process and enter accurate confidential employee information and changes in the HRIS (Workday).
  • Support the integrity of employee records and Workday data.
  • Support team members from all departments.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to share ideas, ownership, and drive improvements and consistency of execution for HR processes.
  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training to improve policy and process knowledge.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of experience in an HR-related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field is preferred.
  • Broad HR/Payroll/Benefits knowledge relevant to the company.
  • Experience with HRIS or ATS systems, particularly Workday.
  • Spanish speaking skills are desired.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • Familiarity with employee benefit plans and payroll processing.
