About the position

The Plant Management and Purchasing Assistant at Eden Senior Care is a full-time role focused on supporting plant management operations and procurement processes across senior care communities. The position requires a highly organized individual who can manage telecommunications systems and assist with various operational tasks to ensure compliance and efficiency in facility management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the plant management team with day-to-day operations and maintenance of facilities across multiple senior care communities.
  • Coordinate routine inspections and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
  • Collaborate with facility managers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and resolve facility-related issues promptly.
  • Assist in the procurement of supplies, equipment, and services necessary for operations.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers for timely and cost-effective purchasing.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with placing orders as needed.
  • Track and manage purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules.
  • Oversee the transition and management of telecommunications systems for communities.
  • Coordinate installation, maintenance, and upgrades of telecommunication services with providers.
  • Serve as the point of contact for troubleshooting telecommunication issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, facilities management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in facility management, purchasing, or telecommunications (experience in senior care is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with purchasing/inventory management software.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
