About the position
The Process Engineering Manager at Mitchell Plastics is responsible for leading the Process Engineering Team in the design, manufacture, and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment. This role focuses on continuous improvement in process efficiency, cost reduction, quality enhancement, and production optimization, while also managing production engineering projects and collaborating with various teams to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Process Engineering Team responsible for manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Provide concepts and designs for the layout of the plant.
- Focus on continuous improvement of process, cost, quality, and production.
- Manage all production engineering projects and resolve engineering-related problems cross-functionally.
- Work directly with customers to ensure PPAP is carried out per requirements.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure all incoming products meet production and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with other Mitchell Plant PE teams to implement best practices.
- Work with Program Managers and Accounting teams to establish BOM for new projects and process changes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in automotive and plastics industry.
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
- Strong understanding of plastics molding and assembly manufacturing equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of product development and submission requirements (APQP).
- Excellent work ethic, self-motivated, and ability to multitask.
