About the position

The Plant Manager at SI Group is responsible for leading the Baytown Operations, ensuring safe and compliant execution of the production plan while adhering to budget guidelines. This role focuses on enhancing lean manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and improving operational efficiencies. The Plant Manager oversees the Manufacturing and Engineering & Maintenance processes, ensuring the site operates effectively and meets production demands.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's activities in EHS, Quality, Production, Engineering, Logistics, and Maintenance Services.
• Adapt the organization and staffing levels to meet demand and safety requirements.
• Ensure on-time and quality manufacturing of products as per the production schedule.
• Manage operations within approved financial guidelines.
• Drive effective maintenance operations to ensure equipment availability and durability.
• Execute approved capital projects on time and within budget.
• Ensure timely availability of manufacturing information for effective S&OP process execution.
• Maintain an inherently safe operation and ensure overall EHSQ compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• 7 years of experience in comparable chemical facility operations.
• 3 years of significant staff and operations management responsibility in manufacturing.
• Experience in change management.
