About the position

The Plant Manager for CMC Greenville, AL, is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of manufacturing plants and employees. This role involves planning and directing all operational activities at the facility in alignment with corporate and business unit guidelines, policies, and objectives. The Plant Manager will also oversee multiple site locations and work closely with various corporate business partners to ensure compliance with business standards and drive operational improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of manufacturing plants and employees.
  • Plan and direct all operational activities at the facility.
  • Work with Corporate Business Partners from Finance, HR, Purchasing, and Quality.
  • Develop and implement business strategies for operational improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate objectives and governmental regulations.
  • Provide a safe and healthy working environment for employees.
  • Drive the implementation of the Hubbell Production System (Lean).
  • Coordinate with budget setting and monitor metrics to achieve budget targets.
  • Manage staffing needs to meet facility objectives.
  • Monitor and report on critical metrics within the plant.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Operations, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing/operations environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop professional PowerPoint presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop action plans for improvement.
  • Leadership ability across all levels of the facility.
  • Understanding of business management processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and PC application skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work in group problem-solving situations.
