About the position

The Plant Manager at Kraft Heinz will oversee all major plant functions, ensuring efficient manufacturing operations while maintaining employee relations and adhering to budgetary objectives. This role is responsible for coordinating various departments, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to meet company policies and regulatory requirements. The Plant Manager will also support strategic efforts to enhance sales and customer retention.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct all major plant functions including manufacturing operations, quality assurance, and maintenance.
  • Guide department managers in developing labor usage strategies to optimize resource utilization.
  • Communicate company policy changes to management and plant personnel.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of companywide policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and good manufacturing practices.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts throughout the plant.
  • Consult with corporate offices to develop the annual operating budget and ZBB.
  • Review labor standards to support the annual budgeting process.
  • Collaborate with HR on employee development and motivation strategies.
  • Work with engineering and maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Analyze plant spending to maintain costs within standards and meet corporate financial goals.
  • Support R&D in developing new product processes and costing.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Prior plant management experience highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence across all levels of employees.
