About the position

The Plant Manager at AUTOKINITON is responsible for leading and managing plant operations to ensure optimal safety, quality, productivity, and delivery. This role involves providing outstanding customer service, coaching associates, and managing the financial performance of the plant while supporting the company's mission and goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for plant operations and support departments.
• Manage financial performance and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Mentor and coach the leadership team and all salaried staff.
• Drive plant productivity improvements and cost reduction goals.
• Lead the plant safety committee and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and a positive working relationship within the organization.
• Represent the company during customer visits and meetings.
• Develop and drive the plant's strategic business plan and measurable goals.
• Ensure accountability and discipline within the plant operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or quality; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of ten years' experience as a Plant Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metals.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience in applying lean manufacturing concepts.
• Proven leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong business acumen to interpret financial and performance data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
• Experience with quality and environmental standards such as TS 16949 and ISO 14001.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of plant department functions and interactions for overall synergy.
• Experience with QAD and understanding of supply chain processes.
• Ability to translate progressive operating techniques into results.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and mentor effective problem-solving methods.
