About the position

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operation of a plant or processing facility, ensuring that all activities align with the company's business plan. This role involves managing staffing, production, quality control, and financial performance while maintaining safety and inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for staffing, administration, production, quality, materials, equipment, and financial performance of the plant.
• Interprets and administers company policy at the plant level.
• Ensures plant safety and inventory accuracy.
• Supervise department leaders in production, maintenance, quality, and administration.
• Interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
• Planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees.
• Addressing employee complaints and resolving problems.
• Work with corporate human resources on employee issues.
• Develop and assign continuous improvement activities.
• Research and implement projects to include capital equipment needs and improvements to current processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing management and business acumen.
• Preferred 5+ years of Heat Treating experience.
