About the position

The Plant Manager at Georgia-Pacific's consumer products operation in Halsey, Oregon, is responsible for leading a cross-functional team to ensure a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. This role emphasizes the application of Principle Based Management to foster growth and development while driving operational strategy and performance improvements. The Plant Manager will also focus on talent development and compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop an environment focused on advancement through Principle Based Management.
• Set expectations tied to compliance and stewardship (EH&S).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive vision and operational strategy for the facility.
• Design and execute operational plans to improve performance.
• Define and use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure results and monitor progress.
• Attract, retain, and develop talent to enhance competitive advantage.

Requirements

• Experience supervising and developing people leaders in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Transformation experience utilizing automation and advanced technology to improve operations.
• Experience with constraint analysis and continuous improvement.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Experience working within a paper mill or converting operation.
