About the position

Join Trane Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer in Trenton, NJ. In this role, you will operate innovative engineered systems and develop, coordinate, and implement sustainable manufacturing production processes. Your cross-functional team will be focused on delivering quality, safety, and operational efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
  • Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.
  • Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
  • Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
  • Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
  • Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development.
  • Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline required.
  • Ability to accurately assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.
  • Effective communication at multiple levels coupled with ability to build relationships.
  • Growth mindset - desire to expand technical skillset.
  • Results-driven to maintain accountability and customer-focus.
