About the position

The Plant Operations Manager will lead and optimize plant operations in the industrial biotechnology sector, focusing on sustainable fuel and biopolymer production. This role involves collaborating with senior leadership to enhance operational efficiency, manage financial performance, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The manager will supervise daily activities, guide operational teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational plans aligned with long-term strategic goals.
• Optimize processes through Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
• Manage budgets, production schedules, and financial performance.
• Monitor safety practices and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (advanced certifications preferred).
• 7-15 years of experience in plant operations, ideally in biotechnology or petrochemical industries.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practices.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and financial management skills.
• Experience managing safety protocols and handling hazardous materials.
