The Plant Operations Manager will play a crucial role in leading the Kansas facility of a well-established printing company. This position requires an experienced individual who can oversee all aspects of production, including prepress, wide format digital printing, dye sublimation, direct to fabric printing, finishing, sewing, shipping, warehouse, fulfillment, and maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the plant, ensuring on-time deliveries, and driving process improvements and waste reduction initiatives. The role demands a strong leader who can effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse team, from machine operators to C-level executives, to implement long-term strategies aimed at achieving operational excellence. In this position, the Plant Operations Manager will supervise the entire printing process, from pre-press through to shipping, providing leadership and direction to all production employees. The manager will be tasked with planning, scheduling, and directing production priorities based on customer needs and best practices. Additionally, the role involves hiring, coaching, developing, and training team members in a fast-paced environment, while also forecasting and organizing production to maximize productivity, quality, and safety. The manager will be expected to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and control costs in a metrics-driven environment, while also working closely with executive management to align operational goals with company objectives. The Plant Operations Manager will also be responsible for troubleshooting fabric and textile printing issues, establishing and administering the budget, and holding responsibility for profit and loss (P&L). The role includes recommending new processes, software, technologies, and equipment, as well as monitoring industry trends to stay ahead of the competition. Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows will also be a key aspect of this position, ensuring that the company remains informed about current innovations and best practices in the printing industry.
