About the position

The Plant Operations Superintendent II at Louisiana-Pacific Corporation is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for production and maintenance operations. This role involves managing electrical and mechanical work within the facility, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The superintendent will also oversee the execution of the annual operating plan and budget, while assuming plant manager responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for overall production and maintenance operations.
• Manage and coordinate all electrical and mechanical work in the facility.
• Drive the facility to meet all standards, policies, and regulations for safe and environmentally compliant production.
• Ensure development and execution of the annual operating plan and budget.
• Lead, plan, and participate in process improvement and cost reduction projects.
• Direct daily production and maintenance operations to meet delivery schedules.
• Develop and lead preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Assist in the hiring process and staff training.
• Manage production and maintenance department budget and participate in forecasting activities.
• Prepare timely reports and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• 5+ years of demonstrated manufacturing supervisory experience or equivalent training.
• Thorough knowledge of mill processes and equipment.
• Knowledge of industry technological developments.
• Understanding of company products, policies, and procedures.
• Skills in managerial and supervisory functions.
• Budgeting and financial analysis skills.
