In this role, you will assist in all aspects of plant and warehouse operations, including stocking and retrieving package and bulk containers, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining general housekeeping. The position requires strong mechanical ability and a customer-focused attitude, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of plant operations and warehouse operations duties.
• Stock and retrieve package and bulk containers.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklift, order picker, and pallet jack.
• Maintain daily cleanliness and maintenance of all plant equipment.
• Manage all bulk fertilizer tanks including liquid levels and labeling.
• Coordinate with the Dispatch Department for scheduling of incoming and outgoing fertilizer deliveries.
• Create custom fertilizer blends and properly label all custom blends.
• Fill tanks and trucks as needed and ensure proper weight and sealing of tanks.
• Assist with shop repair work and equipment maintenance when needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper paperwork for all products.

Requirements

• Experience in plant/facility production, quality control, and maintenance.
• Willingness to operate material handling equipment including forklifts and skid steers.
• Ability to repetitively bend and lift boxes and bags up to 80 lbs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good computer, math, and organizational skills.

• Willingness to work overtime hours during busy seasons.
