About the position
The Plant Process Engineer at CaptiveAire is responsible for maintaining and improving production processes across various products and equipment. This role involves significant hands-on work on the manufacturing floor, collaborating with equipment operators and engineering teams to ensure quality standards and process improvements are met.
Responsibilities
- Work on the manufacturing floor for 95% of the workday, focusing on projects, equipment operation, and repairs.
- Collaborate with equipment operators to ensure parts are programmed and address any process-related issues.
- Engage with engineering teams on parts programming, assembly setup, and process improvements.
- Implement Engineer Change Notices (ECN) and Process Change Instructions (PCI).
- Support production as needed, ensuring all products meet quality standards in the designated area of focus.
- Assist production staff with product-related questions.
- Work with the Plant Manager on various facility improvement projects.
Requirements
- 0-10 years of experience in a related field.
- 4-year technical degree in electrical, electronics, or mechanically oriented curriculum.
- Internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Hands-on product exposure is essential.
- Electrical skills and experience are required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software is a must.
- Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary.
- A strong desire to ensure customer satisfaction with product quality and maintain a safe work environment.
