About the position

The Plant Project Engineer I, II, III positions at Jubilant HollisterStier involve providing pharmaceutical engineering expertise primarily in facility engineering. These roles encompass managing projects and multi-disciplinary teams, contributing technical direction for complex projects, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The positions vary in responsibility and experience, with Project Engineer I focusing on entry-level tasks, Project Engineer II managing larger projects with some leadership responsibilities, and Project Engineer III taking on major projects autonomously while providing guidance to others.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support of engineering facility projects including facility and utility expansion, compliance upgrades, cost reduction, contract manufacturing, and process improvements.
  • Contributes expertise in facility engineering, including design, modification, and troubleshooting of pharmaceutical systems such as HVAC, Clean Steam, and WFI.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulatory agencies regarding facility and process requirements.
  • Manages capital and expense facility projects in compliance with the Project Management Guidelines system, including scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
  • Works effectively with internal departments such as Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing, as well as external regulatory agencies and vendors.
  • Develops detailed specifications and RFQs for A&E firms, contractors, or equipment manufacturers.
  • Utilizes engineering documentation systems required by regulatory agencies and adheres to quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, or a similar engineering discipline required.
  • Project management and/or project engineering experience desired for Project Engineer I.
  • 3+ years of project management and/or project engineering experience required for Project Engineer II.
  • 7+ years of project management and/or project engineering experience required for Project Engineer III.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Pharmaceutical Facility/Systems is desired.
  • ISPE Baseline Guides experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguous and complex situations and influence outcomes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in pharmaceutical construction methods.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for facility and processes.
