About the position

The Maintenance Mechanic II position at Cargill involves performing maintenance and troubleshooting on production or warehouse machinery. This role focuses on multiple trades and requires regular guidance. The primary objective is to ensure the effectiveness of the facility through preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and troubleshoot production or warehouse machinery.
• Utilize maintenance and reliability practices to complete preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance.
• Accountable for the production of food safe products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Work with electrical systems, refrigeration systems, plumbing, manufacturing equipment, and boiler operation.
• Complete all paperwork pertaining to work orders, service call reports, and purchase requisitions.
• Maintain adherence to all Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Report problems with the food safety management system to identified persons.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of HACCP/OPRP/PRP (GMP) policies and requirements.

Requirements

• 2 years of maintenance experience or completion of Maintenance Trainee Program at Cargill or completion of technical college degree in related field.
• Willingness and ability to complete trainings and obtain licenses or certifications such as boiler license and forklift license.
• Availability to work outside of normal shift hours, including weekends and off-shift hours as needed.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
