About the position

The Sales Account Manager at Material Difference Technologies (MDT) is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of customer accounts within a designated sales territory. This full-time role involves conducting sales territory research, developing sales strategies, administering sales calls, and managing order acquisition. The position aims to increase revenue and customer satisfaction by effectively identifying and pursuing qualified leads for MDT's product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an account database of customers in a designated territory portfolio that may purchase products from MDT's product lines.
  • Research key contacts, resins used, and manufacturing processes in place.
  • Research customer buying and receiving patterns (volume).
  • Discover price targets and offer product samples, following up on sample results.
  • Acquire new customer purchase orders for MDT's Prime, Generic Prime, Wide-spec, and Repro product lines.
  • Collect and manage purchase order receipt, order review, and distribution within MDT's Contract Review standard operating procedures.
  • Discover and report key customer contact information for purchase order, accounts payable, and logistics contacts.
  • Provide weekly sales order tracking and sales forecast information to the organization.
  • Work closely with COO, Executive Vice President, and Director of Business Development, as well as Procurement, Materials Management, Finance/Accounting, and Quality teams.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in commodity resin sales (preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficient typing skills
