About the position

The Plastics New Model Sr. Project Engineer will lead new model projects to mass production in the stamping department, ensuring that all project targets are met across the SEQCDM categories. This role involves project planning, coordination of cross-functional meetings, and preparation of presentations to support project evaluations and mass production readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop SQDCM project targets and manage MMC based investment/expense items.
  • Support new model department investigation items and coordinate tooling maturation with PEBU.
  • Conduct and lead department cross-functional meetings related to the project.
  • Develop and present all 'WAR' documents per plant direction.
  • Support reporting at each evaluation event and obtain mass production results per SEQCDM.
  • Coordinate and support try, build events, die delivery schedules with Forming groups, Weld, Plant, and PEBU.
  • Coordinate blank and coil delivery schedules and parts delivery.
  • Assure all Forming Training of affected associates per project.
  • Verify mass production baskets in-house before mass production and ensure quality database setup.
  • Verify GPCS setup and readiness of all line-side required documentation.

Requirements

  • BSME, BSEE or equivalent experience required.
  • 2 - 8 years of experience based on education.
  • Strong verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Ability to manage projects to assure deliverables are achieved.
  • Proficiency in computer work such as ACAD, CATIA, and Office programs.
  • Experience in data collection and analysis.
  • Hands-on support of equipment is required.
  • Ability to create and track project schedules.
  • Good interpersonal skills to function in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly.
