Plastics Operator 7pm-7am

About the position

The position involves operating and monitoring various large machines in a manufacturing environment, ensuring quality control, and participating in team activities. The role emphasizes the importance of teamwork and individual contribution to the success of Marmon Utility LLC, a part of Marmon Holdings, Inc.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation and work orders
• Set up, monitor, and operate a variety of large machines including large armorer, cabling machine, parallel and strip line, and pulling eyes
• Move, load, and unload various sized reels of product and component parts
• Guide and thread cable into machinery
• Splice wires
• Cap and tie down ends, wrap product
• Monitor quality
• Operate fork truck and change propane cylinders
• Document work processes
• Communicate with supervisor
• Clean work area
• Train employees
• Participate in team meetings
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to operate large machinery
• Experience with quality monitoring
• Forklift operation certification
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of electrical wiring and splicing
• Basic mechanical skills
