About the position

The Platform Administrator III - Salesforce is responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of critical platforms within the organization, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. This role involves managing user access, monitoring platform health, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing updates while collaborating with IT and Development teams to support business processes and drive platform improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Apply modern engineering principles and practices to operational functions throughout the full system lifecycle.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Salesforce platform to ensure efficiency and performance benchmarks are met.
  • Scale systems sustainably through automation and foster changes that improve velocity.
  • Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions to ensure appropriate access control and implement security protocols.
  • Continuously monitor platform health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and respond to system alerts to ensure uptime and performance SLAs are met.
  • Plan and execute system updates, upgrades, and patches to maintain platform security and functionality.
  • Maintain platform backup processes and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested.
  • Provide second-tier support for platform-related incidents and service requests.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to configure and optimize platform settings to meet business needs.
  • Implement and enforce data integrity and governance policies to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of platform architecture, configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Work closely with IT, Development, and business teams to align platform capabilities with organizational needs.
  • Provide end-user training and support to ensure platform adoption and proper use of tools and features.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Uphold F5's Business Code of Ethics and report violations promptly.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Platform Administrator or similar role, particularly with Salesforce.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities and best practices.
  • Experience with user account management, roles, and permissions in Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and compliance regulations related to data protection.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and respond to system alerts effectively.
  • Experience in planning and executing system updates, upgrades, and patches.
  • Familiarity with backup processes and disaster recovery planning.
  • Strong documentation skills to maintain platform architecture and configurations.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
