About the position

The Platform Administrator III - Salesforce at F5 is responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Salesforce platform, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. This role involves managing user access, monitoring platform health, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing updates while collaborating with IT and Development teams to support business processes and drive platform improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Salesforce platform ensuring efficiency and performance benchmarks are met.
  • Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions to ensure appropriate access control.
  • Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Continuously monitor platform health and performance using monitoring tools, troubleshoot issues, and respond to system alerts in a timely manner.
  • Plan and execute system updates, upgrades, and patches to maintain platform security and functionality, while minimizing downtime.
  • Maintain platform backup processes and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place, regularly tested, and updated.
  • Provide second-tier support for platform-related incidents and service requests.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to configure and optimize platform settings to meet business needs.
  • Implement and enforce data integrity and governance policies to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of platform architecture, configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide end-user training and support as needed, helping to ensure platform adoption and proper use of tools and features.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience as a Salesforce platform administrator with a focus on Service Cloud and/or Government Cloud, Community Cloud.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Salesforce certifications - Certified Administrator, App Builder, Service Cloud Consultant, Community Cloud Consultant is a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Salesforce platform and Salesforce Community applications.
  • In-depth understanding of Salesforce security model and experience in setting up data security via configuration and coding.
  • Experience in Salesforce configuration including Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, and dashboards.
  • Experience troubleshooting in Salesforce technologies such as Apex, Triggers, Lightning Design, and Visualforce pages.
  • Proficiency in platform management tools, including configuration, logging, monitoring, and automation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with DevOps tools like Copado and/or Flosum.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory guidelines such as FedRAMP, FIPS, NIST 800-53 security controls.
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) for automation.
