About the position

The Platform Engineer - DevOps Specialist role focuses on developing and maintaining platform solutions using various programming languages and technologies. The position requires extensive experience in software development, particularly in Golang, and familiarity with microservices architecture. The role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of applications and services in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain platform solutions using Golang and other programming languages.
• Design, build, and operate microservices in a production environment.
• Implement RESTful and SOAP services as required.
• Work with SQL databases such as Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, and MongoDB.
• Utilize YAML and JSON file formats for configuration and data interchange.
• Participate in agile development processes and methodologies.
• Design data persistence systems using both SQL and NoSQL DBMS.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software development and engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in Golang programming.
• 1+ years of experience in Java, .NET, or C++.
• 2+ years of experience with RESTful and/or SOAP services.
• 2+ years of experience in agile methodologies.
• 1+ years of experience with YAML and JSON file formats.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL in Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, and/or MongoDB.
• Degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of UI web design experience utilizing HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS, and Ajax.
• 5+ years of application development and implementation experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture.
