About the position

The Infrastructure and Platform Engineering Manager at Sentry is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of foundational infrastructure and platform technologies that support the company's IT operations. This role focuses on overseeing the platforms that drive Sentry's data reporting and analytics functions, ensuring operational availability, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing support of Sentry's data analytics platforms, including Business Objects, SAS, and Tableau.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to assess business requirements and develop data solutions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on data solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and self-service within IT operations.
  • Plan, execute, and deliver infrastructure technology projects within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
  • Design, implement, and execute practices and standards for operational availability and performance.
  • Manage 3rd party relationships regarding procurement and vendor performance.
  • Administer human resource-related activities including performance and salary reviews.
  • Select, develop, motivate, and recognize staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
  • Experience building and operating large-scale solutions in Technology & Infrastructure Services.
  • Awareness of capabilities of multiple public cloud and data center providers.
  • Understanding of self-service concepts, automation frameworks, and DevOps principles.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and presentation communication skills.
