About the position

The Platform Operations Analyst at Leap is responsible for executing and improving operations in wholesale electricity markets from a technical and data-driven perspective. This role involves managing asset enrollment operations, analyzing energy market data, and developing scalable processes to support portfolio growth. The position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who are interested in building complex processes and optimizing operations in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of strategies and core processes for participation in Leap programs across various markets.
• Manage day-to-day enrollment operations and processes, including meter authorization and data coordination with utilities.
• Analyze energy market data to evolve market participation strategies.
• Develop scalable and automated enrollment processes using Python, SQL, and internal tools.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to provide feedback on new enrollment features.
• Drive documentation efforts for key processes and ongoing improvements.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Python, R, or Matlab.
• Strong familiarity with spreadsheets (e.g., Gsheets, Excel).
• Willingness to take ownership of regular reporting processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently drive work forward.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in work execution.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant coursework or professional experience in data management, analysis, scripting, and visualizations.
• 0.5 - 2 years of experience with SQL and an interest in growing SQL skills.
• Experience working with Snowflake.
• Experience in renewable energy, energy efficiency, or energy trading.
