About the position

The Platform Team Intern at PTC will engage in designing, implementing, and delivering maintainable Java code for the Onshape SaaS platform. This role provides an opportunity to work on impactful projects that will be deployed to customers, allowing interns to see their contributions in action before the end of their internship. Interns are treated as full-time developers, participating in an agile, data-driven engineering culture that fosters innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop new code to improve Onshape
• Work with UX to determine functionality for new features
• Participate in the code review process as both reviewer and reviewee
• Fix bugs in new and existing code

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a degree program in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• Comfort with at least two programming languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C++
• Experience working on a software engineering team
