About the position

The Production Technician plays a vital role in the manufacturing process, focusing on chemical stripping, plating, and the production of high-quality components. This position is essential for maintaining production line integrity and ensuring that all parts meet quality standards while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor stripping and plating tanks to ensure accurate processing.
• Inspect parts using precision tools like micrometers and calipers to verify they meet specific standards.
• Maintain the production line, including managing chemical tanks and overseeing chemical storage.
• Process parts through various plating lines, including hard chrome plating, with attention to detail.
• Use hand tools and measuring instruments to maintain and improve production processes.
• Follow safety regulations to keep the work environment safe, clean, and organized.
• Assist coworkers to contribute to a smooth workflow.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to set up and operate stripping and plating tanks accurately.
• Proficiency in using precision inspection tools.
• Experience in maintaining production lines and chemical tanks.
• Knowledge of processing parts through plating lines.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication and good problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Physically capable of tasks such as sitting, climbing, kneeling, and using PPE gear.
• Comfortable working with caustic and corrosive chemicals.
• Ability to regularly lift 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Must have 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses.
