Plating

About the position

As a Part-time Plating employee at Fastenal, you will support the plating needs of a large National account. This role involves various tasks including product sourcing, ordering, receiving, shipping, packaging, customer service, and logistics. After a period of onboarding and training, there may be opportunities for a flexible schedule based on performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Supporting plating needs for customers
• Sourcing, ordering, and tracking product
• Using the work order system
• Receiving product
• Transferring unfinished and finished goods
• Working closely with branch personnel
• Collaborating with plating vendors

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Possess a current full valid driver's license
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented
• Strong math aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to lift, slide, and lower packages weighing 25lbs-50lbs, and up to 75lbs
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to pass a required drug test

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience operating a forklift
• Knowledge of Fastenal's work order system
