About the position

This position focuses on writing PLC programs, OIT programs, and software control descriptions for water and wastewater processes. The role is designed for an experienced programmer looking to transition into a leadership position, involving both office and field responsibilities. The individual will work from specifications, contribute to project design, and ensure that PLC and OIT functionalities meet project specifications through testing and verification.

Responsibilities

• Write PLC operating programs based on control specifications and Tesco standards to ensure safe and optimal equipment operation.
• Publish concise operating instructions detailing control parameters and their effects under normal and failure conditions.
• Perform customer training and assist the sales force with product presentations.
• Collaborate with various internal departments, consulting engineers, customers, and end-users to ensure proper system layouts and designs.
• Recommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning, documentation, and execution of development activities.
• Assist with technical leadership of projects and support larger scale projects.
• Train other employees on relevant aspects of the role.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
• Applied knowledge in programming major manufacturers' PLCs and OITs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Siemens).
• Working knowledge of instruments and electro-mechanical devices used for process control.
• At least 2-5 years of related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong time management skills.
