About the position

We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to join our dynamic team at Hatch Stamping Company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming and troubleshooting PLC systems, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring the reliability of automated processes. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to support our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement PLC programs for various automated systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLC operations and control systems.
• Maintain and optimize existing PLC programs to improve performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and integrate control systems for new projects.
• Utilize voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to detect electrical issues within systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on high voltage equipment and distributed control systems.
• Provide technical support for hydraulic systems and mechanical components associated with automation.
• Document all programming changes, system modifications, and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• 3 years of electrical experience.
• 3 years of mechanical knowledge.
• Proficient in programming languages used for PLCs, such as ladder logic or structured text.
• Strong electrical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical circuits.
• Mechanical knowledge to understand the interaction between software and hardware components.
• Experience working with hydraulics & welding in an industrial setting is desirable.
• Background as an industrial electrician is advantageous for understanding complex systems.
• Ability to maintain high voltage equipment safely while adhering to industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
