About The Position

The PLC Technician/Programmer position involves working with a heavy equipment manufacturing company to provide technical support and installation services for plant controls and electrical components. The role requires collaboration with customers, suppliers, and management to ensure project objectives are met, including cost, quality, and timelines. This position offers the flexibility of remote work.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Formal training and/or schooling in electrical controls and wiring is a plus.
• Professional knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of electrical controls and wiring.
• Good human relations skills to convey technical engineering concepts to others and work cooperatively with internal and external customers.
• Proficient technical writing skills to prepare product specifications, test, and process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer plant site to install plant controls, PLC, motors, and electrical components.
• Train customer personnel on the operation of plant equipment and troubleshoot existing plant sites.
• Supervise/undertake wiring installations and upgrade plant controls at existing plant sites.
