About the position
The PLC Technician/Programmer position at a heavy equipment manufacturing company in Mason City, Iowa, involves engaging with customers, suppliers, engineering, and management to achieve project goals. Responsibilities
- Travel to customer plant site to install plant controls, PLC, motors, and electrical components.
- Train customer personnel on the operation of plant equipment and troubleshoot existing plant sites.
- Supervise/undertake wiring installations and upgrade plant controls at existing plant sites.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Formal training and/or schooling in electrical controls and wiring is a plus.
- Professional knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of electrical controls and wiring.
- Good human relations skills to convey technical engineering concepts to others and work cooperatively with internal and external customers.
- Proficient technical writing skills to prepare product specifications, test, and process documentation.
