About the position

The PLC Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical control systems and equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role is essential for ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations, while collaborating with engineering and production teams to enhance equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical control systems and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Program and configure PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces).
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Utilize and manage Work Order software and other computer applications to support maintenance operations.
• Capable of running conduit and pulling wire for power distribution and controls integration.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Controls Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen Bradley).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with HMI programming and configuration.
