The Information Technology (IT) Business Analyst for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) at Hendrickson is a pivotal role that serves as the technical subject matter expert, bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for testing and deploying PLM solutions, ensuring that they meet the needs of the business while adhering to industry standards and best practices. Ongoing technical support for end users is a critical function, as is the architecture of solutions that optimize the use of product lifecycle management systems. The analyst will analyze the current technology infrastructure to assess its capability to support business objectives and will lead the collection of business requirements, recommending efficient and cost-effective solutions based on complexity analysis. The position also involves creating technical specifications, process diagrams, and reviewing data models for application development. The analyst will ensure that all development and corrective software is thoroughly tested and documented. Collaboration with IT management is essential to identify risks and recommend appropriate steps for escalation, prioritization, and risk mitigation. The role includes evaluating and implementing third-party software solutions, advising IT management on software purchases and version upgrades, and driving technical design decisions while maintaining comprehensive project documentation, deliverables, plans, schedules, and status reports. Additionally, the analyst will deploy applications through various environments, perform root cause analysis for production issues, and prepare and maintain user guides, training materials, and technical documents. Training customers at all levels, whether in group settings or one-on-one, is also a key responsibility.
