About the position

As a PLM Technician II at Enbridge, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational reliability of our pipeline systems while contributing to environmental protection. This full-time position involves performing high-value, high-risk work associated with routine pipeline maintenance and open system hot work on all mainline piping, terminal, and station facilities. You will be responsible for providing effective assistance in emergency response situations, including containment, repair, and cleanup, as well as taking preventative actions to avert potential incidents related to abnormal right-of-way conditions. Your responsibilities will include performing various types of pipeline repairs, such as emergency repairs and stopples, in accordance with company procedures and manuals. You will need to understand and comply with all safety requirements related to pipeline maintenance duties. Additionally, you will complete required Competency Development Verification forms to document your learning process and ability to perform pipeline technician tasks independently. Becoming Operator Qualified on all required tasks is essential before you can work independently, and you may also oversee those who are not yet qualified. In this role, you will act as a company inspector for contract work when necessary and provide coverage as a company representative as required. You will also be expected to perform any additional tasks as requested by your Supervisor in Pipeline Services. This position requires a high level of flexibility, as you will frequently travel to construction sites and may need to stay overnight. You will be working in both field and office environments, managing multiple projects, emergency response operations, and adapting to changing work priorities and conditions.
