The Michigan Department of Corrections is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at the Marquette Branch Prison. This position is essential for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems within the facility, ensuring that all plumbing operations run smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing fixtures, pipes, and systems. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues in a timely manner. As a Plumber, you will work closely with other maintenance staff to ensure that all plumbing systems are functioning properly. You will be expected to perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plumbing systems, as well as respond to emergency plumbing situations as they arise. This position may also involve working with other trades, such as electricians and HVAC technicians, to complete larger maintenance projects.
