  • Assists in inspecting and testing mechanical and plumbing systems under direct supervision.
  • Helps repair defects in mechanical and plumbing systems by learning and using soldering, brazing, or welding techniques.
  • Assists in inspecting drain lines using drain line cleaning equipment.
  • Supports in replacing valves, pipes, and other associated plumbing devices.
  • Learns to repair, install, and maintain mechanical/plumbing equipment and systems by reading, interpreting, and working from blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Assists in preparing estimates of time, labor, and materials for projects.
  • Helps prepare reports reflecting daily operations and project status.
  • Assists in operating and maintaining tools and equipment of the plumbing trade.
  • Learns to clean the work area upon completion of projects.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Enrolled in apprentice training program with two years already completed.
  • Prior plumbing experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of the principles of plumbing and mathematics.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Willing to learn.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Valid apprentice license.
