As a Plumbing/Fire Protection Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of plumbing and fire protection construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations, using computer software for new and retrofit buildings/projects in the mission-critical environment. You will work independently with minimal supervision from a Senior Plumbing/Fire Protection engineer and will be expected to coordinate with other internal engineering disciplines to achieve successful, functional, and innovative designs for our clients. Your role will also involve performing field surveys to document existing conditions, engaging in the development of designs through sketches and electronic models, and ensuring project timelines are met while staying within budget. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, with a preference for candidates who have EIT/PE certification and at least 5 years of experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems. Strong computer skills, particularly in software used for plumbing/fire protection design, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and excellent communication and organizational skills are essential. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and work with vendors and contractors to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
