About the position

The Plumbing Project Operations Manager will oversee and manage commercial plumbing projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of commercial projects from approval through final billing.
  • Set up project folders with necessary information and ensure contract review and execution.
  • Solicit supplier bids, order materials and equipment, and evaluate proposals to meet project specifications and budget requirements.
  • Coordinate work schedules, material deliveries, and project timelines to adhere to estimates.
  • Track project costs, update dispatch teams, and provide progress reports to project leads.
  • Handle subcontractor agreements and ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Oversee labor and material tracking, manage any changes or additional work, and ensure accurate billing.
  • Develop comprehensive scopes of work, qualifications, and exclusions for project estimates.
  • Collect and maintain accurate contact information and project details.
  • Create detailed cost estimates, including conceptual and progress budgets, and unit production reports.
  • Review and document contract modifications, historical cost data, and maintain estimating standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Coordinate and participate in client presentations, pre-bids, and walkthroughs.

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of estimating, material costs, building systems, and labor productivity evaluation.
  • Excellent communication skills and detail-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and estimation software.
  • Experience with AIA billing, submittals, RFI's, and COR's.
  • Strong math skills and ability to manage job costs and profit margins.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local building codes.
