About the position

The Plumbing Sales Representative will drive sales and foster business relationships within the Water Treatment market. This role involves engaging with customers, providing project quotes, and collaborating with marketing leaders to enhance customer service. The position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction, supported by comprehensive training programs offered by the company.

Responsibilities

  • Present, promote, and sell products and services to existing and prospective customers through regularly scheduled meetings and events.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Conduct initial evaluation of projects onsite or through telephone evaluation to provide customers with project estimates.
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through regular communication.
  • Analyze market potential, track sales, and status reports.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and management by providing reports on customer needs, issues, competitive activities, and new product interests.
  • Assist in regional events including presentations and sales regarding product and service offerings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Sales Representative is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge or ability to learn about the New Jersey Private Well Testing Act requirements is required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving history.
  • Ability to interpret water test results.
  • Experience working in the construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or building maintenance industry is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, customer service, multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Business Relationship and Customer Relationship Management practices.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
