The Plumbing Sales Specialist (PSS) at Mike Diamond Plumbing is a key role focused on maximizing sales potential and enhancing customer relations in the plumbing industry. This position involves working closely with technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery, coaching them to improve their sales skills, and actively engaging with customers to provide solutions and close sales. The PSS is responsible for nurturing leads provided by the company and converting them into successful sales, while also contributing to the overall growth and success of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize the team's sales potential by enhancing cross-selling abilities and ensuring premium customer service.
  • Educate customers about potential plumbing solutions and proactively seek feedback to improve processes.
  • Coach, train, and develop technicians to enhance their work and sales skills.
  • Coordinate with technicians to expedite negotiations and ensure job completion as promised.
  • Work closely with technicians to help them achieve performance goals.
  • Implement procedures to streamline workflow and increase productivity in coordination with the operations manager.
  • Attend weekly meetings to discuss results and strategize on connecting with potential customers.
  • Roleplay calls with technicians before service calls to prepare them for customer interactions.
  • Monitor technician progress during inspections and diagnostics.
  • Conduct post-call follow-ups for customer satisfaction and capture lost revenue potential.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role with responsibility for the productivity or development of others.
  • 5+ years of progressive sales and/or operational experience in Plumbing.
  • 5+ years of technical plumbing experience.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute day-to-day objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to people at all levels and communicate both technically and non-technically.
