The Plumbing Service Manager at JH Kelly is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Plumbing Service Department in Seattle, WA. This role involves managing field crews, coordinating plumbing service jobs, bidding on service work, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. The manager plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer support and maintaining efficient operations within the service team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily Service Plumbing operations, including service work by technicians and bidding plumbing service work.
  • Supervise field foreman and field crews, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Prepare and propose plumbing service work or projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Work with the billing team to ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget.
  • Assist with the coordination of deliverables and service work with the dispatch team.
  • Answer incoming phone calls from the field and assist as necessary.
  • Represent the Plumbing Service Department at internal operational meetings, project kick-off, and site visits.
  • Notify dispatch and warehouse team of material being ordered for project work.
  • Promote teamwork and customer service when interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Perform general office tasks to keep the Plumbing Service Team organized and on track.
  • Coordinate job mobilization and demobilization efforts with service dispatch and field crew.
  • Order parts for plumbing service projects on won bid jobs.
  • Coordinate and perform job walks for new plumbing service work.
  • Help coordinate Plumbing Service Projects with Plumbing field crews and dispatchers.
  • Conduct job reviews on completion of plumbing service calls or project work.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with the service team and customers, providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 10-15 years of related work experience in Plumbing Service and Service work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license & clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with the Washington Plumbing code and applicable laws.
  • Experience proposing and bidding work.
  • Experience in safety regulations and best practices in Plumbing Service operations.
  • Service Plumbing field experience preferred.
