About the position
As a PM Bartender at Pacific Hideaway, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for our guests through exceptional service and a passion for mixology. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and serve drinks in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and valued. You will act as an advocate for the bar and restaurant, crafting personalized experiences that encourage guests to return. This position requires a blend of technical skills in bartending and a genuine desire to connect with people, making each interaction meaningful. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, and serving food and beverages promptly. You will need to pour drinks accurately, process orders using the POS system, and maintain cleanliness and organization at the bar. Additionally, you will be expected to monitor guest behavior, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. Your ability to communicate effectively with both guests and team members will be essential in maintaining a cooperative atmosphere. Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests, serving food and beverages promptly.
- Pour drinks according to specifications and process orders accurately in the POS system.
- Serve food and drinks to guests and fill orders for servers.
- Notify a manager if a guest is becoming intoxicated or rude to others.
- Fill and clean ice bins, empty trash cans, change kegs, and stock beer and wine coolers.
- Clean shelving, stainless steel, mixers, cups, blenders, and soda guns.
- Follow uniform and grooming specifications.
- Maintain cooperative communication with support crew and management.
- Unpack deliveries and stock the bar.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- 1 year of bartending experience preferred.
- Passion for crafting and personalizing guest experiences.
- Excellent knowledge of wine and spirits, along with great communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of credit card and cash handling procedures, including accurate tip-out sheets and bill calculations.
- Food Handler and Alcohol Serving Certifications (if applicable).
- Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
